SUPERCATHTM DIALYSIS CANNULA

Choose the gentler option for cannulation
  • The vascular access is the “lifeline” for dialysis patients who often rely on this form of treatment for their entire life and spend a lot of time at the dialysis center
  • Choose an option that provides better care while also reducing cost and time spent on dealing with complications in the vascular access

SupercathTM dialysis catheters are especially designed for use on arteriovenous fistulas and grafts.

While the sharp introducer needle is used for the puncturing, only the soft catheter remains in the vessel during the treatment.

That way, infiltrations into the vessel wall and related complications can be reduced. This frees up time and effort normally spent on dealing with the complication. At the same time, the flexible catheter allows patients to move their arms, making the treatment much more comfortable and pleasant.

Preserve the vascular access of your patients
  • Thanks to the soft cannula, infiltrations can be reduced leading to fewer procedures related to cannulation complications (1)
  • Designed for an effective dialysis even in restless patients and patients with non ideal access sites (such as newly created/fragile AVF, deep AVF, elbow located AVF, tortuous AVF)
Increase your patients’ comfort
  • The flexible polypropylene catheter allows the treatment of patients with metal allergies and lets patients move their arms during the treatment (2)

  • More safety for medical-healthcare personnel
    • As soon as the metal needle is being pulled back, a passive safety mechanism is activated, covering the whole needle body and needle tip
    • This helps to minimize contamination by traces of blood on the needle and to prevent accidental needlestick injuries (3)
  • Passive safety mechanism
    • Reduce needle stick injury by human error
    • No extra training
  • Inner needle fully encased into an extendable film cover
    • Prevention from needle-stick injury. Only PP catheter left during each HD session
  • Reduce patients pain with improved puncture performance
    • Improved catheter surface treatment technology
    • Less puncture resistance than conventional Medikit products.
  • Blood control cap at the needle hub
    • Prevents blood leakage and contamination
  • Smooth transition of inner needle and tip-tapered catheter
    • Less pain on insertion process
  • E.B. sterilized

The original without safety mechanism. Increases patient comfort and mobility while being gentle to the vascular access.

  • Fluorine resin vascular access catheter for HD
    • Less patient's discomfort
    • Less traumatic damage to vessel wall
    • Longer graft life
    • Ideal for restless patients by catheter softness
    • Ideal for patients with metallic allergy
  • Blood control cap at the needle hub
    • Prevents blood leakage and contamination
  • Smooth transition of inner needle and tip-tapered catheter
    • Less pain on insertion process
  • Fluorine resin catheter by one piece molding
    • Smooth flow and ample flux
